Sunflower seeds «Striped delicacy»

Sunflower «Striped delicacy» - is a confectionery type variety belonging to the mid‑season group, with a maturation period of about 110–120 days. It is known for its stable yields and is well adapted for cultivation on household plots.  

The plants are strong, reaching up to 2 meters in height, and produce large flower heads (baskets) with a diameter of 20–25 cm. These baskets are evenly filled with seeds, ensuring a reliable harvest.  

The seeds are large, elongated, light gray with dark stripes. They shell easily and have an attractive appearance.  

In terms of taste, the seeds are tender with a slight sweet note. They are rich in protein, healthy fats, and microelements, making them a valuable food product. They are consumed roasted, eaten raw, and widely used in the production of halva, brittle, and other confectionery goods.  

Cultivation:

For household plots, it is sufficient to sow about 25–30 plants per one hundred square meters (one sotka). “Lasunka” grows best in sunny areas with fertile soil. It requires regular weeding and protection against weeds, as well as watering during prolonged droughts, especially during the formation of the flower head. The variety responds well to both organic and mineral fertilizers, which help produce large, high‑quality seeds.
