Butterfly-bush seeds

Buddleja davidii (spelling variant Buddleia davidii), also called summer lilac, butterfly-bush, or orange eye - it is a shrub up to 2 m high, with widely spreading branches drooping at the ends. The leaves are oval-lanceolate to lanceolate, pointed at the ends, dark green above, white or yellow tomentose-pubescent below, up to 25 cm long.

The flowers are lilac-violet with a honey aroma, up to 1.5 cm, in dense erect or slightly drooping spike-shaped inflorescences up to 40 cm long. Blooms annually and profusely from July to September.

It is very important for every gardener to pay attention to the following:

• Budleya will always look beautiful in a group planting, or against the background of a lawn;
• An excellent solution would be to plant three or four bushes of different sizes;
• It is acceptable to plant this flower with other flowering shrubs to create a contrast in color;
• Budleya goes well with garden roses;
• Budleya looks great together with ground cover plants, as a dominant feature in the garden landscape;
• it is possible to grow buddleia in flower pots;
• this plant tolerates pruning well during the formation of the bush;
• blooming buddleia is an excellent honey plant;
• the flower is pollinated by butterflies, so these colorful insects will always flutter over its petals.
