Common figwort or woodland figwort / Scrophularia nodosa - is a perennial herb, a species of the genus Scrophularia of the Scrophulariaceae family. Plants are long-lived and, moreover, are well renewed by self-sowing. In a word, having settled on your site, the norichnik will live on it for many years, without requiring additional efforts from you.

Perennial plant - honey plant from the norichnikov family. It grows in wet meadows, along the banks of rivers and artificial reservoirs, in forests in shady places, among shrubs. The stalk of the norichnik is naked, straight, high. Leaves pointed, toothed, opposite. The flowers are red-brown, collected in an oblong panicle, secrete a lot of nectar. Blooms from June to September. It is well visited by bees throughout the entire flowering period. The nectar productivity of the nodular boletus is 400-500 kg/ha.

Growing a dwarf is easy. Seeds can be sown before winter and early spring. They do not need stratification. Sow to a depth of 1 cm. In the first year, a rosette of leaves and a tuberous root with a diameter of 1.5-2 cm grow. Plants begin to bloom from the second year. Norichnik is very winter-hardy, it does not need shelter for the winter.

Application

Useful properties of the knotted boletus are widely used in folk medicine. An infusion of the rhizomes of the plant is recommended to be taken orally for scrofula, rheumatism of the joints, goiter and lymphadenitis. Rinses with norichnik knotty are considered an effective remedy for purulent tonsillitis. Freshly squeezed juice or a decoction of rhizomes is drunk for lipomas, malaria, articular arthritis, otitis media, thyroid diseases, infiltrates and neoplasms.

As a sedative, infusion and decoction of the herb of the plant are used, they are recommended for headaches and insomnia. Outwardly, the tincture of the knotted boletus is used for skin rashes, inflammation of the lymph nodes, furunculosis, and itchy dermatoses. Poultices of grass are made for abscesses, as well as for hemorrhoids. Crushed fresh leaves of boletus or dried ground grass are applied to wounds and cuts to speed up healing.
