Korean evodia seeds

Bee-bee tree or Korean evodia / Tetradium daniellii (Euodia daniellii) - is a deciduous tree. Forms a thick, dark green crown, the trunk bark is gray, smooth, with a metallic sheen. The flowers are small, whitish or pale pink, collected in panicles. The fruits were elongated, up to 0.6 cm in length, black-brown. The fruits ripen in September - October. Origin from Central China. Reaches a height of up to 15 m. It grows extremely slowly. In 50 years it barely reaches 13 m in height.

This tree was planted primarily as an ornamental tree in the past. Beautiful when in bloom. The leaves fall green in the fall - they hardly change color. Can be used for alley plantings. Today it is widely used mainly as a honey tree. Evodia blooms profusely every year. During flowering, the entire tree is covered with flowers. The flowers are small, from pale cream to pale pink, collected in panicles. Blooms in late July-early August. Flowers are visited willingly by bees, so there can be up to 20 bees on a single inflorescence. Bees collect pollen and nectar from flowers.

Evodia is not demanding. Prefers moist soils or at least 1 - 2 waterings during the dry and hot summer months. Evodia is an extremely honey-bearing tree. In addition, for the design of park space, it is also valued as a honey plant, which blooms in mid-summer, when there are no other honey plants.
