Baikal skullcap «Natalia» or Chinese skullcap / Scutellaria baicalensis - is a perennial herbaceous plant. The raw materials are roots and dry grass. The biological activity of skullcap roots is due to the amount of flavonoids, the main component of which is baicalin glycosides.

In medical practice, it is used as a vasodilator to reduce high blood pressure. Scutellaria root tincture has hypotensive properties, promotes sedation, has low toxicity, helps to reduce spasms of intestinal smooth muscles, has anticonvulsant and hepatoprotective effects, and soothes the inflamed central nervous system.
