Fodder beet «Marisha» (single-sprout) - a variety of fodder beet created by crossing and transferring the traits of a single-seeded line of sugar beet according to the scheme Sonnet K7 / l 23 mm I = F1 - 97, F2 - 99, F3 - 01 15/8 - 03 25/33 - 05, 7 / 23 - 07 7/23 - 09 and further individual selection of offspring on the basis of separate fecundity, tolerance to damage by leaf diseases, with an increased content of dry matter and the manifestation of a heterotic effect. Diploid, yellow one-seeded.

The mass of the root crop is 4-5 kg, its length is 35-43 cm, diameter is 12.8 cm, cylindrical - conical shape, small head, vegetation period - 135-140 days.

Peculiarities:

• The root crop is yellow, shallowly buried in the ground.
• Single growth: 94%.
• The variety is moderately resistant to root beetle and cercosporosis.
• The yield of root crops is 82 t/ha.
• The chemical composition of root crops: - dry matter content - 11.0%, sugars - 9.3%, protein - 1.3%, pH = 7.4.
• It has a productive type of testis, up to 120 cm high and dense placement of seed glomeruli per 10 cm segment of the stem, the number of flowers on the plant is more than 6 thousand.
