It tolerates strong pruning and shearing, transplanting in adulthood. Young yews become very fragile in winter and break easily from snow, so for the winter they are tied with a rope in one bundle to prevent snow from accumulating on individual branches.

The color of the needles is dark green, it grows on the shoots in a spiral and in pairs on the side branches. Yew berry bears fruit - these are small red berries, inside them are seeds.

The best place for this coniferous plant is partial shade and even shade. In the shade, the tree grows much better than in the sun.

Thanks to its beautiful crown, this tree looks gorgeous in plantings along alleys and roads. The plant can be found in parks, as well as in the territory near the sanatorium, hotel, private house. Different curly compositions look gorgeous, for this the crown is trimmed a little.

In terms of shade tolerance, they rank first among tree species. They also develop well in lighted places, they love moist air and fresh, lime-containing soils. It should be borne in mind - all parts of the plant are POISONOUS! and only the seedling is harmless.
