Aster seeds «Goldstrahl»

Needle aster «Goldstral» - a beautiful decoration for your flower garden. These large, soft yellow flowers with needle-like petals on a tall stem always attract attention both in a flowerbed and in a vase. When cut, asters remain fresh for up to 2 weeks. Despite their chic appearance, the flowers are not at all capricious and tolerate unfavorable environmental conditions well.

But for better flowering, of course, you should provide them with regular watering and small feedings. In this case, yellow asters will delight you with lush and long-lasting flowering from July to September.

Description:

• bush: compact annual, up to 60-70 cm high;
• flower: pale yellow, needle-shaped, spherical, up to 12 cm in diameter;
• leaves: simple, narrow;
• blooms profusely for 40-45 days;
• Up to 20 buds bloom on the bush at the same time.

This autumn aster will sound beautifully in a flowerbed in a chorus of relatives of its species, harmonizing in color (asters in pale pink, blue, golden, white). Its beauty will be complemented by chrysanthemums, dahlias, aconite, goldenrod and ornamental grasses reed grass and miscanthus.

Asters are planted in mixborders, on rocky hills, to create a second tier of flower arrangement or solo sound. Yellow asters are also used to decorate a balcony or veranda.

Features of cultivation:

• grown through seedlings in March or sow domestic aster seeds in open ground at the end of April;
• planted to a depth of 5 mm, thinned at a distance of 30 cm;
• prefers sunny places and light fertile soil;
• requires moderate watering, does not tolerate organic fertilizers in the year of planting;
• Tolerates frosts down to -3 degrees and light shading.
