Tobacco «Early ripening» - created in 1983 by the Ukrainian Academy of Agrarian Sciences, by the method of interspecific and intraspecific hybridization with the participation of varieties: American 572 + American 361. The advantages of the “Early ripening” variety are in the early ripening of the readiness of the leaves for the first breaking and harvesting 5-7 days earlier, which contributes to earlier leaf harvesting and drying of tobacco in a more favorable period and rational use of working time and effort.

Plant height is 100-130 cm. The shape of the plant is cone-shaped, the inflorescence is spherical, medium. The leaf shape is elliptical, the apex is medium-pointed, the leaf color is light green. The plasticity of the sheet is not curved, the surface is moderately swollen. The edge of the sheet is smooth. The position of the leaves on the stem is elevated. The seedlings are light green, the growth pattern of the seedlings is fast. The color of the corolla of the flower is pale pink. The yield of the variety is at the standard level. Drought-resistant and also resistant to scorching.

It has increased drought resistance and resistance to scorching. The number of days from germination to seedling readiness in greenhouses (cold beds) is 41 days.

Number of days from landing:

• until the leaves of medium brittle ripen 69-76 days;
• until the leaves of the last break ripen 96-119 days;
• before flowering begins 76-80 days;
• until 50% of the bolls ripen 101-119 days

The number of technically suitable leaves on a plant averages 27-28 pieces.

Leaf size in the middle tier of the plant:

• length from 27 to 38 cm;
• width from 12 to 19 cm

The color of the seedlings is light green. The plant grows quickly. The shape of the plant is cone-shaped. The shape of the inflorescence is spherical. The position of the leaf on the stem is elevated, the leaf blade is not curved. The shape of the leaf base is sessile. The shape of the middle leaf blade is elliptical. The shape of the top of the middle leaf is medium-pointed. The leaf surface is medium swollen. The edge of the sheet is smooth. Leaf color is light green. The color of the corolla of the flower is whitish-pink.

The leaf of the first breaking ripens 5-7 days earlier than other varieties.

Drying time for leaves is 14 days. Varietal cultivation technology: seed sowing rate per 1 m2 is 0.04 - 0.05 grams, field planting pattern: 60-70 cm by 18-25 cm.
