One of the ways to germinate - dry luffa seeds are heated in the oven at a temperature of 60 degrees, for about 2 hours, after they have cooled, soaked for a day in a nutrient solution, then on wet gauze in a bag on the battery at night under the freezer and so for 7-10 days then in heat and they begin to peck (like cucumbers only more powerful). We pecked - we plant in disposable cups with prepared soil. The cups are preferably large, as the transplant does not tolerate well (strongly slows down development). Planted in open ground at temperatures above 10 degrees (after flowering of apple trees).

After stretching the stem by 1.5 - 2 meters, it is advisable to fertilize with ammonium nitrate at the rate of a matchbox per 10 liters of water. At a distance of 10 - 15 cm from the stems of the luffa, along the rows of supporting supports, it is necessary to make grooves for irrigation, this will facilitate the care of the luffa and give a uniform distribution of liquid during irrigation.

Luffa loves sunny areas. Distribute plants at a distance of 0.5-1 meters from each other and provide supports. Sow 2 seeds in each hole. On one plant, 2-3 fruits ripen. Luffa is cut before frost with a stalk and allowed to ripen in a dry room.

When the luffa starts to "make noise" when shaken, you can make a washcloth, which, like the plant itself, is called luffa. Such a vegetable sponge simultaneously with the washing procedure provides a good massage. Luffa washcloths are good for health. To make a washcloth, cut off the ends of the luffa, shake out the seeds and pulp, immerse in boiling water, clean, and dry.
