Zabolotny by the method of complex interspecific and intraspecific hybridization (Trapezond 19 × Nicotiana glauca) × ((American 572 × Nicotiana sylvestris) × Lechia) × Nicotiana sandere with subsequent somaclonal selection, obtaining the first generation in 1989.

Refers to high-yielding aromatic cigar varieties of medium ripening for the production of skeletal and blended tobacco raw materials. This mid-season tobacco variety is drought-resistant and has increased resistance to the tomato bronzing virus, has high quality raw materials and good tasting and smoking properties. Used to make cigars and cigarettes.

It has a green leaf color, a cylindrical plant shape with a height of 150-160 cm. The number of days from germination to the readiness of seedlings in greenhouses (cold beds) is 47 days.
