Tobacco «Low nicotine» - created in 1987 by the Ukrainian Academy of Agrarian Sciences. This mid-season tobacco variety has improved smoking properties, smoke and inflorescence aroma, and high quality raw materials. It has a light green leaf color, a cylindrical plant shape with a height of 110-140 cm. The inflorescence is corymbose, dense, the corolla of the flower is large, pale pink in color, the position of the leaf on the stem is horizontal. The raw materials are aromatic. This variety differs from others in the aroma of flowers and dry raw materials, is easy to smoke, and has good tasting and smoking properties. It is used to make cigars and cigarettes, and essential oils are also obtained from it for further use in the perfume industry.

It has increased drought resistance and resistance to scorching. The number of days from germination to seedling readiness in greenhouses (cold beds) is 46 days.

Number of days from landing:

before the ripening of leaves of medium brittleness is 72-78 days;
until the leaves of the last break ripen 95-119 days;
before the start of flowering 65-79 days;
until 50% of the bolls ripen 105-120 days.

The number of technically suitable leaves on a plant is on average 24 pieces.

Leaf size in the middle tier of the plant:

length from 25 to 30 cm;
width from 13 to 21 cm.

The color of the seedlings is light green. Plant growth in the first phases is rapid. The shape of the plant is ellipsoidal. The shape of the inflorescence is loose. The position of the leaf on the stem is elevated, the leaf blade is arched. The shape of the leaf base is sessile. The shape of the middle leaf blade is elliptical. The shape of the apex of the middle leaf is blunt. The leaf surface is medium swollen. The edge of the leaf is wavy. Leaf color is green. The color of the corolla of the flower is whitish-pink.

Flowers with a pleasant delicate aroma.

Drying time for leaves is 14 days. Varietal cultivation technology: seed sowing rate per 1 m2 is 0.04 - 0.05 grams, field planting pattern: 60-70 cm by 18-25 cm.
