Tobacco seeds «Crimean»

Tobacco «Crimean» - is a promising variety of Ukrainian selection at the Crimean Experimental Tobacco Growing Station, created by the method of species hybridization of the Peremozhets-83 varieties with Nikociana Silvestris. The variety is green-leaved, characterized by a rapid growth rate at the beginning of the growing season, the yield is at the standard level. Shows relative field resistance to the tomato bronze virus, i.e., with a strong pathogenic load, infected plants do not die, but continue to vegetate and produce leaves. Large-leaved skeletal variety, bush height 140-150 cm, with large leaves of regular oval shape. Planted through seedlings. The seed sowing rate is 0.05 grams per 1 m2. Seedlings are sown in the first half of March.

Planting in open ground at the end of May according to a 70 cm by 20 cm pattern. When planting, it is necessary to water abundantly, then do not water for about a month. Loosening and weeding must be done systematically. Treatment against rot and thrips once every 30 days.

Cleaning leaves from July to October. The readiness of the sheet is determined by the appearance of a light yellow border along the edges. The leaves are dried without touching each other. To purchase premium quality tobacco, the leaf is aged for two years until complete fermentation. The shelf life of prepared leaves is unlimited.
