Beetroot «Sugar» - mid-season variety, resistant to drought and cold. The rosette of leaves is semi-spreading, the leaf plate is medium, solid, moderately corrugated. The root system is pivotal, it penetrates to a depth of 2-2.5 m. The vegetation period of the plant is up to 120 days.

The root crop is sunk deep into the soil, cylindrical-conical in shape, the average weight is 700 grams. It has a relatively smooth surface, so the soil sticks much less during harvesting. Resistant to cercosporosis, powdery mildew and root rot.

It has a universal, non-waste purpose, because all its parts are useful. It is used in cooking for making borscht and kvass, as a non-waste fodder crop, as well as for technical purposes, for the production of sugar and molasses.
