Dwarf everlast, and as immortelle / Helichrysum arenarium - is one of the crops that is used in medicine as a choleretic agent. Inflorescences are one of the main sources of flavonoids (naringenin, apinin). The medicinal raw materials are the inflorescences.

In addition to flavonoids, the inflorescences contain flavonoid glycosides (kaempferol, salipuroside, isosalipurpuroside), steroid compounds, phenolic coloring substances, resinous and bitter substances, ascorbic acid, vitamin K, essential oil, coumarin scopoletin, steranine gluporonin B - sitosten. The chemical composition of the inflorescences also includes fats, sugar, carotenoids, hemicellulose, mucus, wax, sulfites and chlorides of potassium, calcium, iron, and manganese.

Immortelle is a phytoncidal, insecticidal, dyeing and ornamental plant. The flowers are the source of yellow dye. Arenarin is prepared from the inflorescences of the sandy immortelle, which neutralizes poisons, promotes regeneration, has a specific effect in the fight against bacterial cancer of tomatoes and other diseases of viral, bacterial and fungal origin, stimulates seed germination, accelerates the passage of plant development phases, and increases their yield. In addition, Arenarin exhibits activity against the tobacco mosaic and stem virus.
