Amur linden / Tilia amurensis - a tree up to 25 (30) m high. The bark is dark gray, lamellar exfoliating in old trees, sometimes to a greater extent with deep furrows; the bark of young twigs is bare, brown-reddish. Shoots at first with silky white pubescence, soon falling off.

Kidneys are oblong, ovoid, glabrous, 5–7(8) mm long, 3–4 mm wide, with three renal scales, of which the first covers about half of the kidney base, and does not exceed its middle in height.
