Tobacco «Virginia dark» - is a universal tobacco – both for pipe mixtures and for cigarettes. It is the basis for almost all smoking mixtures. Mid-late air-dried variety. The leaf begins to ripen two weeks after flowering; signs of maturity are not very pronounced: the leaf droops and light yellow spots appear. Requires fermentation and aging.

Characteristics:

Sowing: seedlings, late February - early March;
Planting in the ground: 2nd half of May;
Harvest: end of July - August;
Processing: languishing, drying in the shade;
Fermentation: 40-60 days;
Strength: medium, fermented leaf with prune aroma;
Bush size: 1.5-12m leaf – 40-50cm, conical. The trunk is thick, the leaf is dark.
