Watermelon «Firefly» - the variety is medium-late, from germination to the beginning of fruit ripening 80 - 108 days. The fruits are rounded, white in color, with barely noticeable light green stripes, the surface is smooth, sometimes slightly segmented. The bark is of medium thickness (11 - 14 mm). The flesh is dark pink, grainy, juicy, very sweet. The weight of the average fetus is 5.5 kg. Transportability is good.

The fruits contain 11.0 - 14.0% dry matter, 10.0 - 12.0% sugars, 9.2 mg / 100 g of vitamin C.

The variety is drought-resistant, resistant to bacteriosis and relatively resistant to anthracnose.

Watermelon is grown in open ground and greenhouses on light soils. Sowing in open ground is carried out at the end of May. Sowing seedlings - in late April, early May. When the threat of frost has passed, the seedlings are planted in the ground (at the age of 30-35 days, in the phase of 3-4 true leaves) according to the scheme 80x200 cm.

As the plants grow, they form into one stem, removing side shoots, and leaving 2-3 ovaries. Further care consists in watering, fertilizing and loosening.
