Dalmatian chrysanthemum or Maruna cinerarielous or Dalmatian chamomile, feverfew cinerarielous / Pyrethrum cinerariifolium

Perennial herbaceous plant. For the first year of vegetation forms a rosette of leaves 25 cm high. Plants of the second year of vegetation 65 cm high. Stems are semi-erect, slightly branched, woody at the base, densely leafy. Leaves alternate, pinnate; basal and lower stem long-leaved, the rest are sessile.

Mid-season variety, the growing season of the variety for the first year of vegetation, on average, is 135 days; for the second and subsequent years of vegetation - about 116 days.

Flowers in baskets with oyster wrap, disc diameter with tubular flowers - 1.8 cm, length of reed flowers 2.0 cm, number of reed flowers in the basket - 22 pcs. The color of reed flowers is white, tubular flowers are rich yellow. The fruit is an achene, which is narrow in shape, elongated on both sides, obliquely cut with 4 protruding ribs at the top. The surface of the achenes is longitudinally ribbed, the color is yellowish-gray.

In folk medicine in many countries, ground flower baskets of pyrethrum cinerariae are used as a means of combating harmful insects. Pyrethrine drugs are used to exterminate bedbugs, fleas, cockroaches, flies, insects - pests of agricultural plants and animal parasites.

Use pyrethrum powder, a special liquid flicid, alcohol extract or pyrethrum extract. Feverfew powder consists of finely ground flower baskets of these types of daisies.

The preparation of Dalmatian chamomile pyrethrum is used in the treatment of scabies and helminthic diseases in animals.

Seeds begin to germinate at a temperature of +5 + 6ºС, the optimum temperature for germination is 26-28ºС. Under favorable conditions shoots appear in 18-25 days. The first pair of true leaves appears 24-27 days after sowing. The duration of flowering plants is 30 days.
