Grand Fir / Abies grandis
A majestic tree belonging to the Pine family. The fir of this species is distinguished by a cone-shaped crown growing from the very bottom. It has a thin, dark brown bark, which thickens with age to 5-9 cm. Decorative fir is a tall and slender tree growing up to 35-50 (rarely 75) m in height and about 60-120 cm in width. She has dark green needles with a tetrahedral shape of needle leaves. They have medium hardness and outwardly resemble the teeth of a comb-comb.
The Great is considered one of the most beautiful representatives of her kind. She is shade-tolerant and thermophilic. The tree can withstand up to -30°C.
It is grown in botanical gardens, in park areas, in summer cottages. Perfect decoration for gardens and parks, single and group plantings.
