Italian honeysuckle or perfoliate woodbine Italian woodbine, perfoliate honeysuckle, goat-leaf honeysuckle / Lonicera caprifolium - is a decorative, strong-growing vine with long-term abundant flowering for more than 2-3 weeks. Widely used for landscaping terraces, arches, and a bright addition to landscape compositions. A bush with great growth vigor, annual growth of about 3 meters, an adult vine grows up to 5 m in height.

Flowers up to 5 cm in length. The color inside the flower is white or yellowish, the outside is purple with violet-red stripes. Flowering duration is about 3-4 weeks. The leaf is dense and green in color. Honeysuckle flowers open in the evening and fill the air with a wonderful aroma. Frost resistance is high.

The fruits are inedible, orange or red, 6-8 mm in diameter, and do not grow together. The stalks are short, which makes the fruit seem to be «glued» to the leaf. Ripen in late July - August.
