Basil «Opal» (purple) - this is a mid-season variety. The growing season from germination to the appearance of the central inflorescence is 60-65 days. The bush is compact, 60-70 cm high. The leaves are large, ovoid in shape with a pointed tip, purple in color, 6-8 cm long, 3-4 cm wide. The weight of one plant is 200-300 grams.

It is grown through seedlings or by sowing seeds in open ground. It is used in fresh and dried form as a spicy-flavoring additive to various culinary dishes, as well as for flavoring during pickling and canning.
