Watermelon «Orange King» - an early ripe hybrid differs from other berries in the color of orange pulp. The growing season of the hybrid is only 55-60 days. The fruits are quite large, weighing 8-11 kg, rounded. This hybrid is distinguished by an increased sugar content of the pulp (up to 13%), a rich aroma and a small amount of seeds inside. Productivity 5-9 kg/m2.

The pulp of the berries is crisp, sweet, homogeneous, it does not have white streaks. The skin of the watermelon is smooth, glossy, rich green with light stripes. The skin of the hybrid is dense, which allows you to transport berries over long distances. The leaves of the hybrid are wide, well protect the fruits from sunburn. The hybrid is resistant to Fusarium wilt.

Watermelon is grown in open ground and greenhouses on light soils. Sowing in open ground is carried out at the end of May. Sowing seedlings - in late April, early May. When the threat of frost has passed, the seedlings are planted in the ground (at the age of 30-35 days, in the phase of 3-4 true leaves) according to the scheme 80x200 cm.

As the plants grow, they form into one stem, removing side shoots, and leaving 2-3 ovaries. Further care consists in watering, fertilizing and loosening.
