Bearberry cotoneaster / Cotoneaster dammeri C.K. Schneid - is an ornamental deciduous shrub with a low, very dense crown, spreading with branches lying on the ground, which take root over time. The plant does not grow in height more than 15-20 cm, but quickly grows in width, reaching 1.5 meters or more. The leaves are very small, elliptical, up to 2 cm long, and do not fall off in the winter.
In September, the shiny foliage is very well combined with ripening and long-lasting numerous coral-red fruits with a diameter of up to 6 mm, closely located on the shoots. In late autumn, the plant becomes even more colorful with bright fruits and purple leaves.
It blooms in May with small white flowers. Numerous light red berries appear in autumn. Undemanding to soil and moisture. Grows well in sun and partial shade.
