Anti-slug product «Slimex Plus» - ready-to-use bait in microgranules is used to fight against snails and slugs living in personal plots, greenhouses, vegetable gardens, lawns, vineyards, in plantings of fruit and berry and vegetable crops, in cellars and basements, utility rooms, as well as in public recreation and sports areas.
Mollusks prefer areas with high humidity, snails actively feed on leaves, young shoots, strawberries and other soft fruits. This leads to loss of yield and makes berries and fruits unsuitable for consumption or sale. When moving, slugs leave behind a characteristic trail of mucus, which harms crops and can become a breeding ground for the spread of helminths, infections and fungal diseases.
The drug will be an effective solution to such problems. The granules contain an active substance, metaldehyde, a molluscicide that affects snails through the contact-intestinal route. Active forms of metaldehyde cause damage to the mucous cells of the digestive tract of shellfish. This disrupts nutritional processes and causes internal damage. Under the influence of metaldehyde, snails and slugs begin to lose moisture and secrete excessive amounts of mucus, as a result of which they die from drying out within 1-2 days.
At the same time, additional components in the composition of the drug attract pests; slugs actively consume this substance, considering it food. Limacid is not attractive to animals and birds for consumption and does not harm the environment.
