Tomato «Bucephalus» F1 - this hybrid combines many advantages: early ripening, high yield, excellent marketable appearance, disease resistance, and great taste. Ripening begins on days 93–97 after germination. Fruits are flat-round, slightly ribbed, bright pink with no green shoulder at the stem.
The fruits are dense and resistant to cracking. Average fruit weight is 350–700 g. Each cluster contains 3–4 fruits, with short internodes. Must be trained into a single stem!
Bucephalus F1 is resistant to Tobacco Mosaic Virus (TMV) and tolerant to environmental stress factors, as well as partially tolerant to verticillium wilt and bacterial diseases.
Tomatoes require a sunny location with light, fertile soil and good drainage. Seeds are sown for seedlings 55–65 days before transplanting into open ground or a greenhouse. The optimal growing temperature is +22…+26°C during the day and not lower than +15 °C at night. Transplanting is carried out when the soil warms up to +12…+14 °C, following a spacing of 40–50 cm between plants and 60–70 cm between rows.
Care includes regular watering with warm water (preferably drip irrigation), loosening and mulching the soil, and fertilizing with organic and mineral fertilizers. Plants are formed into 1–2 stems by removing side shoots and tying them to supports. For disease prevention, proper greenhouse ventilation and crop rotation are important. Timely harvesting of fruits stimulates continued fruiting.
