Calabash bottle - is an annual climbing plant with long stems. Produces large, elongated bottle-shaped fruits, weighing 2-7 kg. It is grown by sowing seeds in the ground or through seedlings. The fruits are 30-40 cm long when the peel is still thin and light green in color.
They are used for food as zucchini and squash, they are used to prepare caviar, salads, cook porridge, fry in oil, stew, stuffed and pickled. The plant is very decorative and can be placed near gazebos and fences. Ripe dried fruits are used to make dishes and decorative items. Young fruits are used in folk medicine.
