Lacy phacelia seeds «Alina»

Lacy phacelia, tansy-leaf phacelia, blue tansy, purple tansy or fiddleneck (UK) / Phacelia Tanacetifolia - an annual herbaceous plant, prone to self-sowing. Phacelia stems are erect, branched, mostly shortly pubescent or bristly-hairy. The leaves are arranged alternately or oppositely, entire or coarsely toothed, mostly lobed or pinnately dissected, with narrowly lanceolate lobes. The flowers are regular, on short pedicels or almost sessile, collected in dense or sparse, spike-shaped inflorescences, blue, purple, white or rarely dirty yellow. The corolla is bell-shaped, bell-shaped-tubular or almost spike-shaped.

Phacelia flowers are rich in nectar, which produces high-quality honey. In addition, phacelia can be used as a "green fertilizer". It is sown on poor soils illuminated by direct sunlight, since these are the conditions that are suitable for it. Then the land is plowed, burying the plants entirely, and thus enriching the soil with organic matter.

Currently, phacelia is grown mainly as an ornamental plant. Its shoots grow to a height of 50-100 cm and in mid-summer form small flowers up to 2 cm in diameter. Their petals have an indefinite modest bluish-gray color. Phacelia combines well with any other flowering plants.

The Phacelia variety "Alina" was created to satisfy the various wishes of farmers, gardeners and beekeepers. This variety can act not only as a honey plant, but also as fodder and green manure. Hardy, undemanding to soil, lighting and humidity, the phacelia variety "Alina" will be the best solution for a multi-profile farm.

The "Alina" variety is early maturing and suitable for early planting. The height of the plant reaches 75 cm, the flowers are blue. The vegetation period is 110 days. Phacelia "Alina" is characterized by high honey productivity. Grown in Polesie and in the forest-steppe natural zones of Ukraine.
