Magnolia loebneri - this variety was obtained by crossing Magnolia Cobus and Magnolia starta in 1900. Max Lebner. This is a large deciduous shrub, multi-stemmed and highly branched. With age, the crown becomes flat-rounded and asymmetrical with slightly hanging branches. When young, the bush grows brass knuckles slowly. The annual growth is about 25 centimeters in height and up to 20 centimeters in width. It reaches a height of up to 6 m, there is a tendency to grow in width.
The leaves are green, obovate in shape, arranged alternately. Flowering begins in late April - early May before the leaves bloom. Star-shaped flowers with a diameter of up to 14 centimeters, each of which has 11-13 petals. Each petal is 5-7 centimeters long and 1-1.5 centimeters wide. The petals are white or light pink, with pinkish-violet stripes on the outermost petals, which from a distance give a dominant purple-pink color.
