Raspberry variety «Abundant» / Rubus idaeus

It belongs to large-fruited Moscow varieties and is distinguished by abundant fruiting and strong branching of fruit formations.

A variety bred by the world-famous Russian breeder V. V. Kichina with the assigned number 3916/94. All of its varieties enjoy well-deserved success. The first berries ripen earlier than the earliest varieties. Shoots of this variety without thorns, large conical berries weighing 8-14 grams, conical, beautiful shape, bright red color, shiny, dense, well removed from the fruit.

The drupes are small, homogeneous, tightly linked to each other. This variety tolerates transportation well. Still green berries strongly tilt the shoots and require the timely installation of strong supports and garters or tying them to the trellis. It is necessary to normalize the number of fruiting shoots in the bush, leaving no more than 8-10 pieces. Ripening of berries is friendly.

The pulp is juicy, melting, sweet, with small seeds. The variety is recommended for fresh consumption and for all types of home processing (jam, marmalade, drying).

Productivity is high and very high - about 20 tons per hectare or 4-5 kilograms per bush, and with good care and fertilization, the yield doubles (up to 9 kg per bush). It bears fruit annually, the ripening time is in early July and for 4-5 main collections, fruiting ends by the end of the month.

Bush up to 2.0 meters tall, semi-spreading, very compressed, powerfully developed, non-repairable. 8-10 replacement shoots and 4-5 root suckers are formed. Does not spread over the area. Annual shoots of medium thickness and thick, strong and resilient, shortened internodes, runaway shoots, covered with a felt coating (pubescent) and a slight wax coating with a complete absence of thorns on the shoots. During the dormant period, the shoots are red-brown in color.
