Wood ash (sifted) - is a good potassium and phosphorus fertilizer for acidic or neutral soils. In addition to readily available potassium and phosphorus, ash contains calcium, magnesium, iron, sulfur, and zinc, as well as many trace elements essential for vegetables, perennials, fruit and ornamental trees.

Wood ash does not contain chlorine, so it is suitable for plants sensitive to chlorine: strawberries, raspberries, currants, potatoes. Ash protects various types of cabbage from diseases such as clubroot and blackleg. Cucumbers, zucchini, and pattypan squash also respond well to its application. It is enough to add 1–2 tablespoons of ash into the planting hole when transplanting seedlings or one cup per square meter when digging the bed. When planting seedlings of sweet peppers, eggplants, and tomatoes, add 3 tablespoons of ash into the hole and mix with soil, or apply 3 cups per square meter during soil preparation.
