Growing plants – rather complex process that requires certain knowledge and skills from the agronomist. So, for example, a good harvest of spicy and green herbs largely depends on the quality of seeds – for sowing it is better to use high-quality seeds with high germination. Like vegetable crops, herbs are grown in two ways, depending on the plant variety:
- sowing seeds in open ground: cilantro, spinach, mustard, arugula;
- in the form of seedlings: basil, dill, parsley, fennel, marjoram, thyme, rosemary, mint, sage.
It is recommended to plant grasses in well-drained soil, while choosing shaded places. A dive into the ground is carried out in mid-May and early June, in well-moistened soil. After disembarkation, watering should be moderate. And in a week and a half, the first crop will appear, depending on the plant variety.
Caring for spicy and green herbs
Spicy herbs and greens are unpretentious and do not need special care. There are annual and perennial plants. A distinctive feature of perennials is that they need to be updated every 3-4 years by planting new plants on the land. All grasses should be regularly weeded, ridding of weeds and watered as needed. And most importantly, timely harvest a new crop. It is also recommended to trim the plants. This stimulates more bushiness, which leads to the emergence of new fertile shoots.
