It is a biennial herbaceous plant of the Asteraceae family. It has a spindle-shaped, fleshy root. Erect, branched at the top, cobweb-pubescent spiny stem up to 2 m high.
The leaves are alternate, large, prickly, oblong-ovate, oblong or lanceolate, pinnately lobed, grayish-cobweb on both sides. The flowers are small, tubular, bisexual, lilac-purple, collected in spherical inflorescences-baskets up to 4-5 cm, located singly or 2-3 at the tops of the stem and side branches. Unpretentious to soils. In the first year, a rosette is formed, it blooms in the second year of life. Landing should be done in early spring or late autumn. How to use: 1 tablespoon of dried crushed flowers of the tartar must be poured with 1 glass of water, boil for 3-4 minutes, let the broth cool. Use the drug 1/2 cup 3-4 times a day.
