Bio-insecticide «Zamorin» - the preparation is based on bacteria and their vital processes - toxins Bacillus thuringiensis (lat.) - a type of gram-positive, spore-forming soil bacteria.
Cells and specific crystalline protein endotoxin exhibit insecticidal action against caterpillars of many representatives of the Lepidoptera and Coleoptera orders, larvae of mosquitoes, midges, nematodes, beetles.
It is used to protect agricultural, forestry and medicinal crops from pests: Colorado potato beetle (larvae of the 1st-3rd instars), spider mites, cabbage moth caterpillars, cabbage whites, cabbage moths, fire moths, apple and fruit moths, whites, leaf rollers, silkworms, geometers, meadow moths and other pests.
The toxin crystal is practically insoluble in water (it dissolves only in the midgut of sensitive insect species at a pH of about 9.5) and is safe for all vertebrates (including humans).
Principle of action:
Protein crystals and spores of the Bacillus thuringiensis bacteria act on insects immediately after treatment after entering the intestines of insects, causing paralysis and death of pests. Bacteria secrete protein crystals constantly, which ensures a prolonged effect of the drug.
Frequency of treatments:
During active reproduction of pests, it is necessary to do 1-2 treatments against each generation of pests at intervals of 5-10 days. Apply together with adhesives at an air temperature of 15°C to 30°C in calm, dry weather, in the evening at any stage of plant development: flowering period, during pollination by insects, etc.
More effective treatment with the preparation is achieved by spraying from below the leaf using adhesives.
The last treatment is carried out 5 days before harvesting. The maximum effect is achieved when treating plants in the early stages of caterpillar development.
Repeat treatment should be carried out after 5-10 days if egg-laying and the revival of pests lasts for some time.
Advantages of the preparation over chemical insecticides:
- safe for people, warm-blooded animals, birds, fish, bees and the environment (low toxicity);
- exclusive selective action - only those insects that have specific digestive functions are damaged, especially the order of Lepidoptera (butterflies, caterpillars, moths);
- does not cause insect addiction due to its biological origin;
- guarantee of obtaining environmentally friendly and safe products;
- does not accumulate in plants and soil;
- does not affect the taste and color of the treated plants;
- the possibility of use at any stage of plant development;
- rapid decomposition of the active substance, which allows for treatment shortly before harvesting;
- there is no resistance (addiction) of insects to the preparation, as a result of which the application rate remains unchanged.
Compatible in tank mix with biological and chemical preparations (except for those containing copper and mercury).
The contents of the package at the rate of 25 g are dissolved in 10 l of water (warm, without chlorine) 3-4 hours before use.
