Horizontal cotoneaster - a plant up to a meter high, with a width of up to 5 m, it is distinguished by dense foliage of an elliptical shape. The leaf color is dark green in summer and purple in autumn. In May, the plant blooms with white, rather large, flowers.

The flowering period lasts thirty days. The fruits of the plant are decorative, round in shape, red in color. The fruits, which remain on the cotoneaster until late autumn, are edible for birds. The growth rate is quite fast - up to a meter wide per season.

Durable - up to 50 years. Very popular. Decorative all season, especially in autumn.

Cotoneaster horizontalis is a fairly winter-hardy plant, undemanding to soil. Feels better in sunny places. Prefers moist soils. The plant is resistant to smoke and gas, which allows it to be grown in urban areas.
