Browallia «Beauty» - an annual plant 30-40 cm high with a dense crown of dark green leaves up to 6 cm long. Shoots drooping, branching. Blooms from July to September. The flowers are blue and purple, fade very quickly, but there are so many of them that the plant is constantly covered with flowers. It can bloom most of the year if sowing is renewed.
The best substrate for browallia is considered to be ordinary garden or garden soil.
Propagated by seeds and cuttings. To ensure that Browallia blooms in winter, the seeds are sown in pots at the end of summer. Browallia cuttings should be rooted under a plastic cap at a temperature of +15-17ºС. During the process of growing seedlings, seedlings must be transplanted twice, first into pots with a diameter of 5 cm, and then into pots with a diameter of 12.5 cm.
Browallia needs good lighting: it is kept on windows facing south or southwest. If possible, provide the plant with 2-3 hours of direct sunlight. Watering during the flowering period should be plentiful. When Browallia is actively growing, the soil dries out very quickly. To prevent buds from falling off, regularly spray the plant with soft water. In cold weather, the room temperature should not fall below +15°C. During the flowering period, take care of regular feeding, at intervals of 12-17 days.
To make the plant thicker, systematically pinch the tops of the shoots. Browallia looks very good in hanging baskets, planted in several pieces.
