Post-emergence herbicide «Loisite» - a systemic selective herbicide used to protect crops against a wide range of annual and perennial grass weeds.
This drug contains an active ingredient - fluazifop-P-butyl, the mechanism of action of which is based on its ability to suppress the activity of enzymes and fatty acids in the cells of cereal weeds, which are critical for the growth and development of plants.
The product accumulates at growth points and stops plant growth within 1–2 days after treatment. When it gets on the leaves of weeds, fluazifop-P-butyl quickly penetrates into the cells and is transported throughout the plant through conducting tissues (xylem and phloem), moves to the root system and accumulates at growth points, causing tissue death. The development of weeds stops within 1-2 days after application, and complete destruction of weeds is observed in the range from 4-5 days to 3 weeks.
It is important to note that the herbicide is highly selective, meaning it effectively targets cereal weeds while having minimal impact on non-cereal crops. This is due to differences in the structure and sensitivity of a certain group of enzymes in cereal and non-cereal plants.
Systemic herbicide is used in home gardens to protect potatoes, cabbage, carrots, tomatoes, cucumbers, onions, strawberries, currants, raspberries, grapes, watermelon, melon, buckwheat, peas, soybeans, sugar beets, sunflowers, bluegrass rapeseed, chicken millet , meadow fescue, bristle grass, creeping wheatgrass, perennial ryegrass, meadow mantle, awnless brome, common sedge, meadow mantle and many other weeds.
Advantages:
- The herbicide stops plant growth within 1–2 days after treatment;
- The drug does not accumulate in the soil, is not dangerous for bees and does not harm the environment;
- The product exhibits high activity against cereal weeds without causing harm to the crop plants for which the drug is used;
- The herbicide Loisite is effective against a wide range of cereal weed species;
- This drug inhibits the root system of weeds, which prevents their regrowth.
Potatoes, cabbage, carrots, tomatoes, cucumbers, onions (all generations), strawberries, currants, raspberries, vineyards, melons, buckwheat, peas, soybeans, sugar beets, sunflowers, rapeseed:
- Annual cereal weeds - 20 ml per 6 liters of water per 2 acres (spraying on a vegetative crop, weeds in the 2-4 leaf phase);
- Perennial cereal weeds - 40 ml per 6 water per 2 acres (spraying on a vegetative crop, with a weed height of 10-15 cm);
The best effect is achieved during the active growth of weeds in warm weather at a temperature not lower than +15°C, when annual weeds are in the phase of 2-4 true leaves, and perennial weeds have a height of 12-15 cm. Within 4-5 days after using the herbicide, the weeds begin to turn yellow and gradually die off.
The timing of the manifestation of herbicidal activity depends on weather conditions and the type of weed. The working solution must be used immediately after preparation, since the drug loses its properties during storage. The waiting period (days before harvest) is unlimited. Frequency of treatments - 2.
