Korean mint or wrinkled giant hyssop, purple giant hyssop,Indian mint, Chinese patchouli / Agastachus rugosa (Lofant Tibetan - Lophanthus tibeticus) - is a perennial herbaceous shrub, medicinal plant from the polygon family. Many gardeners already know a wonderful honey plant - anise lofant, which in appearance is very similar to the Tibetan lofant.

But the latter, unlike the former, has white flowers. A distinctive feature of the Tibetan lofant is the duration of flowering - the entire period of the summer season. Tibetan lofant reaches a height of about 1 m, the stem is tetrahedral, the leaves are like those of nettles, small flowers are collected in spike-shaped inflorescences up to 20 cm long. The plant is unpretentious, does not require special care. Even a novice gardener can grow it. With a shortage of land, the lofant can be grown under garden trees. But, of course, it works best in fertile and well-lit areas.

Lofant Tibetan has unique healing properties. The medicinal raw material of the Tibetan lofant is its aerial part.

Preparations from the lofant help to strengthen and increase immunity, restore strength after nervous disorders, in inflammatory processes in the gastrointestinal tract, diseases of the liver and urinary tract, in the treatment of acute respiratory infections, bronchitis, pneumonia and bronchial asthma. The gel from the leaves of the lofant well cures skin diseases caused by fungi. An alcoholic infusion of freshly picked flower stalks is used internally and externally for paralysis, paresis, trembling of the limbs and for regulating metabolism, as a tonic and anti-aging agent. An aqueous infusion of leaves, peduncles and stems of the lofant, combined with other medicinal plants, raises vitality.

In cooking, young leaves of the Tibetan lofant are used to prepare various dishes: they are added to sauces, salads, cold soups and drinks. Lofant is also used to obtain fragrant jam, when baking bread, as well as to flavor hot, soft and alcoholic drinks. It can also be used as a spice, greens are added to meat and fish dishes, as well as when preserving vegetables. Powder from the leaves and inflorescences of the Tibetan lofant can be added to the dough when baking.

1 bag of 3000 seeds is enough to plant 10 m² of area on your site through seedlings.
